What is ICAHS?
International Congress of Art History Students is a project founded in 2011 by art history students of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. From the very beginning, the idea behind the Congress was to connect students on an international level and to share knowledge and experience. Students from numerous European universities gather in Zagreb every year to present their latest scientific research to their colleagues and the academic community.

This year's Congress will take place from November 8th to 10th 2017 at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. There are several components of the Congress. The most important are presentations of scientific research held by students and experts.
Two social gatherings will take place during the Congress where students will have an opportunity to meet other colleagues and share their experiences in a relaxed atmosphere.
Final segment of the Congress is a field trip around Zagreb with the intention of showing the capital's cultural heritage.

The theme of VI.ICAHS is Interdisciplinarity in Art History. It was chosen to highlight the importance of other scientific fields in art history researches. The theme can be approached in many different ways, from those concerning the methodological approaches to the individual cases in which the research was enriched by other disciplines such as: archaeology, anthropology, ethnology, history, philosophy, natural sciences and any other that can be connected with research in the field of art history.
The subject is broad and offers many different possibilities.
It is our goal to show the necessity of such approach in the art history as a scientific discipline in the 21st century.
